Our garden party reception is being graciously hosted by Robin's longtime friend, Kathleen MacDowell, at her home. We recommend comfortable shoes for treading on well-manicured grass.
Ample free parking is available on the street around the home. It is about 20 minutes southwest of the church. Please proceed there and we will join you after photos.
Florida weather in November
Typically it's a lovely time of year with lower humidity, little or no rain,
and temps in the 70s to low 80s during the day, 50s and 60s at night.
A glimpse of our adventures over the past four years...
One of our favorite things to do is visit someplace interesting, stroll along reading all the information about everything, like the total introvert nerds that we are, and stage poetic or dramatic photos!
The first photo is me traveling to see Chris... for the first two years we knew each other, he lived in Abilene Texas. He worked for a subsidiary of American Airlines, so we had free airfare between Florida and Texas, as well as to fun places like California, South Carolina, and Virginia. As I was working remotely, we made the most of it in the weeks I didn't have custody of my kids.
About Christopher and Robin
Chris is a longtime aviation mechanic who is training to be a commercial pilot for charter flights. He works for University Air Center and helps diagnose and fix varying aircraft from the flight school planes to private charter jets that stop in, and even the regional jets at the municipal airport next door. Chris grew up in Cut and Shoot, Texas, east of Houston. He has a twin sister, Jennifer, an older sister, Dawn, and a younger sister, Jessica. His parents Cindy and Russ are, respectively, a retired mom and an Air Force veteran and former pilot. They are enjoying the peaceful life by the pond on their acred country estate.
Robin is a Christian relationship coach, a part time Elite Lyft driver, and mom to two teens. Her kids, Remy and Ivan, are gifted students and musicians in the high school marching band and ensembles. Robin is also a piano singer-songwriter. She grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia. She has one younger sister, Wendy. Her parents Bonnie and Bill are, respectively, a retired lab technician and a newspaper publisher. Bonnie volunteers with Colonial Williamsburg, and Captain Bill runs a busy charter sailboat business.
Chris and Robin were baptized this year and have devoted their lives to the Lord. Stuff they LOVE to do includes nerding out about the Bible, discussing Scripture or psychology or "conspiracy theories" into the wee hours of the morning, traveling and visiting historic places, spending time with family, playing the piano together, reading Christian instructional or motivational books as well as historical fiction books, and watching movies.

No gifts expected. If you are so inclined, here are a few things for our home that we love. We have a small patio where we'd love to spend more time outdoors in our backyard. In the nice enclosed dining room that is presently Chris's room, we are
planning to build a library where we can relax and read, discuss Scriptures, and research to our hearts' delight.
